Welcoming BigIron: Expanding our commitment to the Heartland and beyond

Ritchie Bros. is proud to share a major milestone: BigIron has officially joined our corporate family.

Over many years, BigIron has built something truly distinctive—a trusted online marketplace for agricultural equipment, deeply rooted in genuine customer service and an intimate knowledge of the communities it serves. Headquartered in Columbus, Nebraska, BigIron is woven into the fabric of rural America. It is exactly this stellar reputation, built on trust and straightforward service, that makes this addition so meaningful for all of us at Ritchie Bros.

Keeping local roots intact

We know how vital local relationships are in this industry. We want to explicitly reassure BigIron’s loyal buyers, sellers, and partners that the core of what made BigIron great isn’t changing.

Your Team Remains in Place: Customers will continue to work with the same trusted local representatives, account managers, and auction experts they always have.

Business as Scheduled: All upcoming BigIron auctions will proceed exactly as planned without disruption.

The Mission Continues: BigIron was founded to serve farmers, ranchers, and rural business owners who expect fair outcomes. That deep commitment to Rural Connections, Respected Values, and Real Deals remains the guiding light.

Ritchie Bros. will NOT change what BigIron has built, but only support those existing relationships and provide the global resources to help them flourish.

Local expertise meets global reach

By combining BigIron’s deep agricultural roots with the scale of the Ritchie Bros. network, we are creating an unmatched win-win scenario for equipment buyers and sellers alike.

As part of the world’s largest used equipment marketplace, BigIron auctions will now be backed by an immense global network spanning over 190 countries.

What this means for sellers:

This means instant access to an unprecedented crowd of global buyers, driving higher asset visibility and highly competitive bidding on every piece of iron.

What this means for buyers:

This integration brings greater inventory variety, localized sourcing options, and more equipment opportunities directly to your operation.

Supporting the full BigIron family of brands

This partnership extends well beyond traditional machinery. We are proud to welcome and fully support the entire BigIron family of brands, each serving a distinct and vital segment of the community:

Ritchie Bros.’ resources and technology will give these specialized branches the backing they need to scale, innovate, and serve their markets even better.

A shared vision for the future

At its core, this partnership works because our foundational values are identical. Whether it’s a handshake at a local yard or an online transaction across borders, both of our brands are driven by a commitment to trusted marketplaces, strong customer relationships, and delivering real value.

Together, we now serve equipment buyers and sellers across agriculture, construction, transportation, energy, mining, and real estate—with the global scale to match and the deep sector expertise to back it up.

We want to extend a warm welcome to the entire BigIron team, and express our sincere gratitude to those who have built this incredible business. We are excited to grow together.
