Emma Tuckley – from administrative assistant to international operations leader<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n

Emma\u2019s career in heavy equipment began with a twist of fate. Nearly 30 years ago, after her employer went into liquidation, she spotted a Ritchie Bros. job advert while working as a waitress and decided to apply. She thought she might have the skills to try something new. That leap turned into a global career. Today, as Director of International Operations Support, Emma\u2019s work spans countries, cultures and time zones. What surprises many people is how human the role really is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA large part of my job is about people and culture. It\u2019s about building trust across different countries, time zones, languages and cultural differences. If you don\u2019t get the human side right, everything else will fail.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years, she has seen the industry change but moments of surprise still happen. When customers once asked to speak to the manager in Dubai and she stepped forward, the reaction said everything about how far the industry still has to go. She believes the next generation of women will push even further into leadership roles \u2013  because the talent is already there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSuccess to me today is about contributing to positive change, helping others to grow in their careers and knowing that my work is making a difference.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Danielle joined Ritchie Bros. nine years ago, live in-person auctions were still the company\u2019s core format. From the start, she was drawn to the energy and unpredictability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFrom day one, it felt energetic and different from a normal office job. Every day is different \u2013 there\u2019s always something to solve, improve or learn from.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Office Operations Manager in Benelux, Danielle keeps the rhythm of daily operations running smoothly, juggling paperwork, supporting colleagues and ensuring customers feel welcome. The role is far more dynamic than many people expect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s fast-paced, hands-on and full of problem-solving, and that variety and teamwork is what makes it so rewarding.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laura\u2019s 18-year journey at Ritchie Bros. has taken her through operations, customer care, sales and marketing. That cross-functional experience has given her a 360-degree view of the business and its evolution from live auctions to advanced digital solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the outside, auctions can look simple. Behind the scenes, she says, they resemble an orchestra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Marketing Manager for Italy, Laura focuses on connecting the right assets with the right buyers through strategy, data and communication. She believes diverse perspectives directly strengthen business outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
