5 winter toys you can buy from Ritchie Bros.

Not everything sold at Ritchie Bros. and IronPlanet auctions is meant for digging holes, pushing dirt, hauling goods and plowing fields. We sell a mountain of stuff that can be meant for recreation when the thermostat heads south and the snow heaps up. For your winter wonderland enjoyment, we’ve rounded up 5 toys that can be purchased at auction.

1. Utility Trucks

Sure, it can be a little tight on leg room, but you won’t think twice about plowing through any terrain in all weather conditions. These utility trucks, especially the below pictured Fat Trucks, are always popular sellers in auctions on Ritchie Bros. and Marketplace-E.

2. Snowcats

If a utility vehicle isn’t going to serve your purposes, then the next level up is a Snowcat. Not only can you push snow around like a boss, but you could theoretically drive up a ski hill and hit the slopes. Or, maybe go backcountry for a little avalanche surfing?

3. Snowmobiles

Why pay top dollar for a brand new snowmobile when you can bid on used snowmobile being sold with unreserved prices? Choose from a massive selection of snowmobiles at Ritchie Bros. auctions that you can tear up the trails with. Get all the top brands – Polaris, Ski Doo, Artic Cat, Yamaha, and more.

4. Cabin in the snow

While it’s not exactly a “winter toy,” a nice cabin offers snowy serenity and restful refuge from the daily hustle and bustle. Ritchie Bros. sells plenty of real estate, including cabin like this that can be plopped down near your favorite ice fishing hole. This cabin sold for $8,250 Canadian dollars on Sep 27.

5. Snowplows

Do you want to be the winter hero of your neighborhood?  Everyone will cheer you on as you plow past their snow-blanketed houses, clearing drivable paths for everyone to get to school and work. Ritchie Bros. sells hundreds of snowplows each season. Point of order: a snow plow is actually an attachment on the front of the truck. But you can buy both!
