Alberta-based directional drilling company Absolute Crossings Ltd. were winding down, calling it quits, and used Ritchie Bros. to liquidate their entire fleet.
“When you go with Ritchie Bros., it’s all sold that auction,” said Dean Swanberg, co-owner of Absolute Crossings. “If we tried to sell all this equipment ourselves it could take a year or more.”
On May 3 – 8, 2021, Ritchie Bros. sold more than 250 items for Dean and his partner Don Shipalesky in its massive Edmonton spring auction that year. “Ritchie Bros. has the best advertising in the business, reaching buyers all over the world,” added Dean. “We like the way they do business—they are fair and honest to deal with.”
Other highlights from Absolute Crossings package include truck tractors, flatbed trucks, oilfield floats, tanks, and hundreds of other related items.
“Our equipment had been well-maintained and looked after,” said Don. “Much of it is specialized gear for our industry and it’s all ready to go to a new owner.”
