More Ways to Buy: Introducing Buy Now and Make Offer on Ritchie Bros.

OwenOctober 6, 2026 · 3 min read

For decades, buying equipment on rbauction.com has meant one thing: the auction. That isn’t changing. Auctions are still where buyers find great deals and sellers get true market value for their equipment. But not every purchase fits an auction timeline. Sometimes you need equipment today, not on the next sale date. Sometimes you’d rather name your price than place a bid.

That’s why we’re expanding how you can shop on rbauction.com. Alongside the auction, you can now Buy Now at a listed price or Make an Offer on eligible equipment, all with the account you already use.

Buy It the Moment You Find It

With Buy Now, the price is right on the listing. No waiting for auction day and no bidding. If you’ve found the exact machine you need and you’re ready to move, Buy Now gets you there in a few clicks.

Or Make Your Best Offer

Prefer to name your price? Make Offer lets you propose what you want to pay on eligible equipment. Your offer stays private: other buyers can’t see the highest offer, how many offers there are, or the final price. If you’re outbid, you’ll get an alert so you can raise your offer. And Buy Now stays available until an offer is accepted, so you can still buy at the listed price while you wait.

More Equipment, One Marketplace

This isn’t a separate platform or a new place to sign up. Over 10,000 additional listings are now available for Buy Now or Make Offer, right on rbauction.com. Bid at auction, Buy Now or make an offer, all from one search and one Ritchie Bros. account.

Every Step in Your Account

Track your offers in your watchlist, and find your purchases, invoices and item release forms in My Account. Buy Now purchases can be paid by credit card or wire transfer (wire only for orders over $10,000). Accepted offers are paid by wire transfer. Need shipping or warranty coverage? Our dedicated marketplace sales team can arrange it through our trusted third-party providers and add it to your invoice.

Bid, Buy Now, or Make an Offer
