With the new storage yards, Ritchie Bros. is introducing a “GLOCAL” approach: combining global reach with local consignment.

Sellers can now consign their equipment locally while benefiting from access to the largest international pool of buyers. These facilities are strategically positioned and will allow sellers to reduce transportation costs compared to shipping to Ritchie Bros.’ larger European hubs, such as Moerdijk and Meppen.

The new local storage yards also offer reduced transportation costs compared to shipping to Ritchie Bros.’ larger European hubs, such as Moerdijk or Meppen. In addition, the facilities align with Ritchie Bros.’ sustainability efforts by reducing transportation needs, helping lower the CO2 emission footprint.

Furthermore, Ritchie Bros. handles the entire sales process —from storage to marketing, transportation, and payment processing—, ensuring a hassle-free experience for sellers. Payments are processed swiftly, with sellers receiving proceeds 21 days after the auction, providing a reliable and efficient transaction process.

Location details for new yards

The Swedish facility is located at Mosippsvägen 6, 567 92 Vaggeryd, in cooperation with SMT Sweden. The yard is strategically positioned along the E4 highway to provide convenient local consignment options while granting access to global buyers.

In Finland, the new yard is situated at Högbergintie 3, 04360 Tuusula, in collaboration with Mäntylä, a trusted partner with over 60 years of experience in transport. This facility is located close to Helsinki – Vantaa airport ensuring easy access for buyers and a seamless consigning process for Finnish sellers.
