HC Transport hauls big consignment of trucks to Ontario Regional Event

Kevin Hyatt has been passionate about trucks ever since he started hauling wood at the age of 14. The owner operator of HC Transport, one of the largest load and haul companies in the Thunder Bay, Ontario region, is now preparing for retirement and is ready to pass a large portion of his pristine assets to new owners in an upcoming major fleet realignment.

“I’ve always loved trucks,” said Kevin. “I’ve always taken good care of them; being up to date on everything. I don’t play around with not fixing stuff. I have pride in my trucks. I’m not bragging or anything, but I like my trucks to stand out. And I like people who like trucks.”

HC Transport’s truck assets and more will be selling in the Ontario Regional Event on Feb 6-7. There will be over 2,500 items selling online in a Timed Auction format, with over 200 truck tractors up for sale.

Top-quality trucks from Peterbilt, Western Star and more

Kevin started HC Transport in 2005 and has always been heavily involved in every aspect of his business. His eye for detail is unmatched. Even with a fleet of mechanics on staff, he was known for coming into his full-service shop at night to polish a truck or do something to keep his asset in top-quality condition.

All of HC Transport assets go through a maintenance program. Some highlights from the upcoming sale include a 2024 Western Star, two 2023 Peterbilts, and a 2021 Peterbilt that looks like it just rolled off a showroom floor. There’s also a selection of log loaders (2020-22) that are expected to be sought after.

“I’m not afraid for anyone to take them and go to work tomorrow,” said Kevin pridefully of the assets selling. “And everything is right up to par in terms of safety.”

Kevin is stepping away to focus on his health enjoy some time away from work. Being a hands-on owner, who regularly goes into the bush to supervise, organize hauls and operate equipment when needed, he couldn’t oversee the business unless he is involved in everything.

All items in the Ontario Regional Event on Feb 6-7 sell via our automated Timed Auction system. It’s free to register to bid.
