Orlando team collects food & money for those impacted by Hurricane Ian
In response to Hurricane Ian, our Orlando team worked together to collect $300 and more than 100 pounds of food for Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Fantastic job, Team Orlando! Thank you fundraising organizers Steve Moshier, Mericio Cabada, Dave Masse, and Keith Cater!
New England team donates cash and clothes to department of veterans affairs
Teaming with offsite vendors Franklin Truck & Trailer Repair and Slick City, our Ritchie Bros. colleagues in New England have gathered $1,200 of clothes and personal care items, as well as $500 cash, to deliver to the Connecticut Department of Veteran’s Affairs. But they aren’t stopping there—next up, our New England team is collecting donations for the Franklin Food Pantry for the holiday season. Fantastic job team!
Orlando team donates cleaning supplies and food to children in need
The boy in the below photo is Liam. He’s excited for the large donation our Orlando team made on behalf of Angels on Earth, PPEC (Pediatric Medical Daycare for Special Needs Children). The organization provides medical daycare for special needs children in Central Florida, with our donation going towards the Lakeland PPEC. A big shout out and thank you to the Orlando team for all your efforts to help make a positive impact in the communities we work and live in!
Edmonton food drive for the Leduc & district food bank
Our Edmonton team (pictured above in feature image) have gathered donations for their Holiday Food Drive stand, supporting the Leduc and District Food Bank, which has been battling food insecurity in their community since 1981. Rouse raise funds for Movember
A few men from Rouse Services participated in the long-running charity event Movember, helping to raise funds and awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s suicide. Each of these gentleman also made monetary donations to the Movember movement.
Ritchie Bros. supports Pat Quinn Classic
Kathy Miller, Carrie Leung, and Lavinia Leong represented Ritchie Bros. at the Pat Quinn Classic Hockey Tournament kick-off party last week where Ritchie Bros. is supporting the tournament as the official food bank sponsor. Vancouver Canuck alumni were in attendance and Carrie and Kathy were lucky enough to get a photo with Canuck legend Dave Babych!
Burnaby office donates 500 pounds of food to burnaby neighbourhood house
A few employee representatives from our Burnaby office delivered 500 pounds of food and a $1,500 check (generously donated by a film crew working in our office) to the Burnaby Neighborhood House. The Burnaby team would like to thank these individuals for their gracious time and effort: Todd Payne, Rachelle Tilden, Sharon De Jesus, Katherine Cobb, Maria Betker, and Ellen Engelsbel. Also, thanks to Sue Koester, Edisvey Santos, Alla Petruk, and Simon Shum for their generosity of boxes, packing tape, the use of the company RB E-Car and any other supplies needed.
North Franklin team delivers 300 pounds of donations to Franklin Food Pantry
Diane Carboni, Yard Manager & North Franklin Holiday Food Drive Coordinator, is pleased to report they delivered almost 300 pounds of most needed items to the Franklin Food Pantry last week.
