We deal with a lot of big machines and some of them can be downright scary looking. Many of these heavy hitters are purpose-built for ripping, crushing, smashing, etc. – so there is something a little nightmarish about their giant robotic destroying capabilities.
In the spirit of Halloween, we’re looking at some of the “horror equipment” we sell at our auctions on Ritchie Bros. and IronPlanet.
Chilling chainsaw trencher
This 2009 Tesmec TRS 1475 Trencher is basically one of the world’s biggest chainsaw. It can cut through the ground or anything else that gets in its way.
Frightful forage harvester
A forage harvester, like the above 2012 Krone BIG X 700 4WD Self Propelled Forage Harvester, have a lot in common with combines. Both are kind of scary when you think about getting chased through a cornfield, which happens to everyone once and while, right?
Freaky feller buncher
Who’s afraid of a giant iron claw? Go ahead and raise your hand because these feller bunchers are fairly intimidating in the way they rip full-grown trees right out of the ground.
Bone-rattling bucket trencher
Consider the bucket trencher as the chainsaw trencher’s mean cousin. Its circular saw blade can blast through rock and dirt to dig out a wide trench to bury you, er, we mean lay pipe.
Eerie excavator
With its more “traditional” rear-facing bucket, the massive Hitachi EX8000-7 excavator’s backhoe bucket could probably scoop up your whole house while your sleeping. Sweet dreams!
What isn’t scary is the great selection of equipment and trucks we offer, so don’t forget to search our vast inventory for anything you need to run your business.
