Each spring Ritchie Bros. conducts dozens of farm retirement dispersal auctions across Western Canada, attracting buyers from across the country and around the world. On April 19, 2023, the company sold approximately 90 items for Dave & Karen Meagher of Sunset Acres, Inc.
“We booked our auction 1.5 years out and from our first meeting with Gavin, our Territory Manager, we were so impressed,” said Dave Meagher. “Gavin laid out our options and explained each very well, but never pushed us in any one direction. We chose to do an online only auction and Gavin was there to advise us every step of the way.”
Equipment highlights in the online timed auction included a 2005 John Deere 7720 MFWD tractor that sold for CA$175,000, a 1997 John Deere 9200 4WD tractor that sold for CA$125,000, a 1981 John Deere 4440 2WD tractor that sold for CA$66,000, and a 2009 MacDon FD70 35-ft flex draper header that sold for CA$61,000. All items were sold without reserves.

More than 1,650 online bidders registered for the Sunset Acres auction in Assiniboia, SK.
