The biggest machines we saw at MINExpo 2024

Ritchie Bros. – a global leader in mining asset disposition – was in attendance at MINExpo 2024, chatting with attendees and providing extensive information about the insights, services, and transaction solutions we provide for companies in the mining sector.

Of course one of the best reasons to attend MINExpo is to see the biggest machines in the heavy equipment industry. Your jaw will drop in the presence of these monsters on the conference room floor. Here’s a rundown of the massive equipment we saw at MINExpo:

Liebherr T 264-E truck

Liebherr Mining gave attendees the inside scoop on their new battery-electric T 264 truck. It was developed jointly with Fortescue; the two companies are partnering on battery-electric haulage systems for large-scale mining, integrating battery technology into the equipment.

Komatsu 930-E haul truck

Komatsu also unveiled the all-new Power Agnostic 930E. It is built on Komatsu’s modular power-agnostic platform, which allows owners to transition the truck from diesel to alternative energy sources over time.

Caterpillar 995 wheel loader

Caterpillar was a popular destination at MINExpo. The yellow iron giant was putting the Cat 995 wheel loader on display to promote its new features – Payload Overload Prevention, Operator Assist, Operator Coaching and Terrain for loading to boost operator efficiency and productivity.

PC4000-11E hydraulic mining excavator

Komatsu’s PC4000-11E electric drive hydraulic mining excavator was highlighted by the Japanese heavy equipment manufacturer for its powerful digging force while enabling zero-emissions loading.
