South Korean construction equipment manufacturer Doosan will unveil its new look and brand at the upcoming CONEXPO conference in Las Vegas. Doosan will now be known as DEVELON (pronounced de-VEL-on). The word is an amalgamation of ‘Develop’ and ‘Onwards’ and represents a new beginning for the company official known as Hyundai Doosan Infracore (HDI).
The company says the name “encapsulates our core ambition to continue developing onwards and leaving behind a positive footprint in our world.” Hyundai acquired Doosan Infracore in August 2021. Plans for a change began shortly after.
